Easter egg mazes

An Easter egg maze carves the corridors inside a tall egg outline, wider at the base and tapering toward the top. Pick a size, generate, and print it with the solved route on the facing page.

Output

A coding path turns the maze into a write-the-arrows worksheet.

The maze fills the silhouette.

Ages 7–10

This one reads hard rather than easy.

Passages

A true maze: one way through, and wrong turns stop dead.

The route has to pass through every one.

How the passages wind. Each one has its own texture to solve.

Two pages: the maze and its answer. The answer is worked out from the maze itself rather than drawn alongside it, so it can never be wrong. Same engine as our KDP studio.

For an Easter party or an egg hunt

Easter is the spring version of what December does for a tree: one week when a themed maze gets printed a class at a time. A small egg finishes inside a few minutes, which is the right length for a table of children between one activity and the next, and a medium suits a mixed-age group.

Printed one per child, each press of generate carves a different egg at the same settings, so no two children get the same page and nobody is copying the egg beside them.

Why the egg leans wider at the bottom

An egg is not an oval. It tapers toward the top, and that taper is what makes a child read it as an egg rather than a stretched circle. The maze fills the whole outline, so the route has a little more room to wander across the broad base than up in the narrow crown.

four ways out, inside an outline

Picture shape

A square-grid maze carved to fill a silhouette: a heart, a star, a crescent moon, a cat, a tree.

How it solves
It solves like a square maze, but the outline does half the work for you. A corridor that runs into the tip of a star has nowhere to go, so the shape itself rules out whole branches once you learn to read it.
Good for
Cards, classroom handouts and anything that has to look like a gift.

Questions

Are these easter egg mazes free to print?
Yes. Generate the maze above and print it with its answer, at no cost and with no sign-up. It is free for classroom, home and personal use.
Is there exactly one way through?
Yes. The maze is carved as a spanning tree, which means every square is reachable and exactly one route joins any two of them. The answer page draws that route, found by searching the maze itself rather than drawn alongside it.
Can I make a maze book to sell on KDP?
Yes. The free tool makes one maze. Publisher Studio generates hundreds of graded mazes in one shape, with an optional how-to-solve page, at any KDP trim, as a print-ready 300 DPI interior and a matching solutions PDF.
