Publisher Studio

The planner maker

Pick a date range and a layout, and the studio compiles a whole planner: month spreads, week spreads or a page a day, every spread opening on a left-hand page. Print one month free in your browser, unlock a project for a one-time fee, and export every standard trim for Amazon KDP, Etsy, Lulu, Gelato or your own printer.

$4.99 once per project. Unlimited exports, every trim, any channel. No subscription.

Any date range, real dates

A calendar year, an academic year from August, or 18 months. Every page is computed from the calendar, so the 1st of each month lands on the right weekday and February is the right length. Or turn dates off for an undated planner.

Spreads that open on the left page

A month across two pages, or a week across two, only works when the spread opens on a left-hand page. The studio compiles the book so it always does, inserting a notes page where it must, and ends on an even count.

Set up once, sell anywhere

One project unlocks for $4.99. Export it for Amazon KDP or Gelato directly, and upload the same print-ready PDFs to Lulu, IngramSpark, a local printer or an Etsy listing. Any trim, four looks, two inks, any time. No subscription.

How it works

  1. 1Try a free month. Use the free printable calendar in your browser to print one month, so you can see the grid and the look before you commit.
  2. 2Pick the date range and layout. In Publisher Studio, set the start and end dates, Monday or Sunday start, and a layout: a week on two pages, a page a day, or month spreads only. Add a year at a glance, goals, habit trackers and notes pages.
  3. 3Choose the trim and the look. Pick a print service, a trim size, a theme, the ink and the footer. The studio compiles the whole book and pages through it at the chosen size, showing which leaf is which.
  4. 4Unlock once, export any size. Unlock the project for $4.99, then export the print-ready interior and the wraparound cover at any trim, as often as you like, for any channel.

Where you can sell it

The export is a standard print-ready PDF, so the same project sells through any channel that prints or delivers a book. Pick the service in the export step and the page is laid out to its rules.

Questions

How much does it cost?
A project unlocks for $4.99, paid once. After that you can export the interior and cover PDFs at any trim, in any look, as many times as you like, forever. There is no subscription.
What do I get when I export?
A print-ready 300 DPI interior PDF with every page of the planner, and a wraparound cover PDF sized to the page count, both at the trim you choose with the margins and gutter a print service asks for.
Where can I sell the planners I make?
Anywhere. The exported files are yours. Publish them as a paperback on Amazon KDP, print through Gelato, Lulu or IngramSpark, sell the PDF on Etsy, or run copies at a local printer. The per-project unlock covers unlimited exports of that project.
How many pages is a weekly planner?
A calendar year as a week on two pages compiles to about 150 pages: 53 week spreads, 12 month spreads, a year at a glance, goals and front matter. A page-a-day planner for a year is about 400 pages. Both sit inside the 24 to 828 page window KDP and most print-on-demand services bind.
Can I make a 2027 planner and a 2028 planner from the same project?
Yes. Change the date range and the compiler rebuilds the book with the new dates. The layout, the look and the extras stay as you set them.
Can I sell the PDF as a digital download?
Yes. Today the interior is laid out as a bound book, so the binding margin alternates sides from page to page, which is right for print and slightly off-centre on screen. A single-page printable layout without the gutter is on our list.
