One page at the size you choose. The rules are 0.6 pt and mid grey, so they print clearly and sit behind your handwriting. The same engine draws every page of a bound journal in our studio.

How to print a page
- 1Pick a page. Choose plain ruled paper, or a guided page such as a gratitude journal, daily checklist, reading log, habit tracker or recipe page.
- 2Choose the ruling and the look. College rule at 7.1 mm, wide rule at 8.7 mm, a 5 mm dot grid or graph, Cornell notes, handwriting lines or isometric. Four looks, from plain to playful.
- 3Print the page. Press Print. You get one Letter page with a date line, sized so the rules end on the margin, or save it as a PDF and print as many as you need.
Binding a whole journal?

To make a journal you can sell, Publisher Studio binds up to 400 pages of the same ruling or guided page at any standard trim, with the gutter sized for the page count, as a print-ready 300 DPIinterior and a wraparound cover. Set it up once, export any size.

- Is this lined paper generator free?
- Yes. Pick a ruling or a guided page, and print it or save a PDF, with no sign-up and no watermark. It is free for classroom, home and personal use.
- What line spacings can I print?
- College rule at 7.1 mm, wide rule at 8.7 mm, a ruled page with a margin line, a 5 mm dot grid, 5 mm graph squares, three-line handwriting paper at 16 mm, story paper, Cornell notes and 5 mm isometric.
- What size is the page?
- Choose US Letter (8.5 by 11 inches) or A4. In Publisher Studio you can export a whole journal at any standard trim, from 5.06 by 7.81 up to 8.27 by 11.69.
- Can I make a journal to sell?
- Yes. The free tool makes one page. Publisher Studio binds up to 400 pages of the same ruling or guided page, adds a title page and a belongs-to page, sizes the gutter for the page count, and exports a print-ready 300 DPI interior and a wraparound cover.
- Why are the lines grey rather than black?
- Rules are printed at 0.6 pt in mid grey, at least 30 percent black. Lighter lines dither or vanish on a print-on-demand press, and black lines compete with handwriting. Mid grey survives printing and sits behind the ink.
