Ten rulings and five guided pages

College and wide rule, a ruled page with a margin, 5 mm dot grid and graph, Cornell notes, handwriting lines, story paper and isometric. Or a gratitude journal, daily checklist, reading log, habit tracker or recipe page on every leaf.

Every standard trim, with the gutter right

Pick any standard paperback size from 5.06 by 7.81 up to 8.27 by 11.69. The binding margin grows with the page count and every rule stays inside the safe area, which is what KDP’s previewer checks and what every print-on-demand service expects.

Set up once, sell anywhere

One project unlocks for $4.99. Export it for Amazon KDP or Gelato directly, and upload the same print-ready PDFs to Lulu, IngramSpark, a local printer or an Etsy listing. Any trim, four looks, two inks, any time. No subscription.

How it works

  1. 1Try a free page. Use the free lined paper generator in your browser to print one page of any ruling, so you can see the output before you commit.
  2. 2Pick the pages. In Publisher Studio, choose a ruling or a guided page, the number of pages from 24 to 400, and whether the book opens with a belongs-to page and an index.
  3. 3Choose the trim and the look. Pick a print service, a trim size, a theme (plain, playful, botanical or bold), the ink and the footer. The preview pages through the whole book at the chosen size.
  4. 4Unlock once, export any size. Unlock the project for $4.99, then export the print-ready interior and the wraparound cover at any trim, as often as you like, for any channel.

Where you can sell it

The export is a standard print-ready PDF, so the same project sells through any channel that prints or delivers a book. Pick the service in the export step and the page is laid out to its rules.

ChannelHow it works
Amazon KDPUpload the interior and the wraparound cover as a paperback. Amazon prints and ships each copy.
EtsySell the interior as a digital download, or list a printed book fulfilled by a print-on-demand partner.
Lulu, IngramSpark, GelatoThe same PDFs at a supported trim. Lulu and IngramSpark reach bookshops and libraries; Gelato prints locally in 30 countries.
Your own printerA short run for a school, a shop or an event. The PDF is standard and vector, so any press prints it sharp.

Questions

How much does it cost?
A project unlocks for $4.99, paid once. After that you can export the interior and cover PDFs at any trim, in any look, as many times as you like, forever. There is no subscription.
What do I get when I export?
A print-ready 300 DPI interior PDF with every page of the book, front matter included, and a wraparound cover PDF sized to the page count, both at the trim you choose with the margins and gutter a print service asks for.
Where can I sell the journals I make?
Anywhere. The exported files are yours. Publish them as a paperback on Amazon KDP, print through Gelato, Lulu or IngramSpark, sell the PDF on Etsy, or run copies at a local printer. The per-project unlock covers unlimited exports of that project.
Can I sell the PDF as a digital download?
Yes. Today the interior is laid out as a bound book, so the binding margin alternates sides from page to page, which is right for print and slightly off-centre on screen. A single-page printable layout without the gutter is on our list.
How many pages should a journal have?
Between 100 and 200 pages is the common range. KDP binds from 24 to 828 pages, and most print-on-demand services are similar. The studio adds a title page and evens the count, and the gutter margin widens automatically at 151 and 301 pages.
Will the lines print properly?
Yes. Rules are 0.6 pt and at least 30 percent black, which is what survives a print-on-demand press without dithering or vanishing, and every mark stays inside the safe area so nothing is flagged in review.
Can I publish the same interior under several covers?
Not on Amazon. KDP removes near-identical interiors listed under different covers. Vary the ruling, the guided page, the look and the page count between books. Fifteen page types and four looks give hundreds of real combinations.
