The printable puzzle maker
Make a puzzle pack to sell as a download. Export it with no binding margin, centred on Letter or A4, print-ready at 300 DPI. Try a puzzle free, unlock a project once, and export the download and the Amazon edition from the same file.
$4.99 once per project. Bound and loose exports, every trim. No subscription.
No 24-page minimum
Amazon won't print a paperback under 24 pages, so a short pack can't be a book there. A download has no floor. Six pages of Halloween mazes is a product you can list today, and it's the shape most printable buyers actually want.
Margins match, on paper your buyer owns
Tick "Print as loose sheets" at export and the binding margin goes. Every page is centred with the same 0.25 inch margin on both sides. Pick the Letter or A4 trim and the sheet is the paper, so nothing scales or clips when your buyer prints it at home.
One unlock, both editions
A project unlocks once for $4.99. Export it loose for a download, then re-export the same pack bound for Amazon with the correct gutter. Same puzzles, same unlock, no second purchase.
How it works
- 1Make one free in your browser. Use any of the free generators to make a single puzzle and its answer key, so you can see the output before you commit to anything.
- 2Build the pack in Publisher Studio. Choose how many puzzles you want at each grade and the studio generates the whole pack, every puzzle verified to have one solution, with the answers at the back.
- 3Tick "Print as loose sheets". In the export dialog, turn on loose sheets. The binding margin comes off, every page centres, and the gutter reading next to the checkbox changes to None so you can see it before you export.
- 4Make the listing images. Run the exported PDF through the free Etsy mockup maker to turn a page into the listing images a marketplace asks for.
Where you sell it
The export is a standard print-ready PDF with no licence lock, so it sells through any channel that delivers a file.
| Channel | How it works |
|---|---|
| Etsy | List the PDF as a digital download. Etsy delivers the file on payment, so there is nothing to pack or post. |
| Teachers Pay Teachers | The same PDF, listed for classroom use. Teachers print the sheets they need, which is what loose sheets are for. |
| Your own site | Any storefront that delivers a file works. The export is a standard PDF with no licence lock and no account check. |
Three things we leave to you: listing and selling (we do not publish on your behalf), the licence terms your buyers get, and the cover, which a loose pack does not have because nothing is bound. The export is the interior and its answers.
Which pack to start with
Every engine exports loose sheets, so this is about who you are selling to rather than what the studio can do. Each one has a free generator you can try first.
| Selling to | Start with |
|---|---|
| Children and classrooms | Mazes. Single-solution mazes in any shape. |
| Seasonal and holiday packs | Word Search. Themed word-search puzzle books. |
| Adults and commuters | Sudoku. Graded number puzzles, easy to evil. |
| Large-print and seniors | Crossword. Themed crosswords with clue lists. |
| Logic fans who want a challenge | Slitherlink. One loop, drawn between the dots. |
| Notebooks and planner inserts | Planner. Dated & undated planners. |
All the free generators if none of those is the one you want, or the Etsy mockup maker when the pack is done and you need listing images.

Questions
- How is this different from making a book for Amazon?
- Three things. A printable has no page minimum, where an Amazon paperback needs at least 24 pages. A printable has no binding margin, so the margins match on both sides instead of leaving room for a spine. And a printable is one interior PDF with no cover, because nothing is being bound. The puzzles and the studio are the same either way.
- Does the loose-sheet export cost extra?
- No. One project unlocks for $4.99 and that covers every export of it, bound or loose, at any trim, as often as you like. There is no subscription.
- What paper will my buyers need?
- Whatever you pick at export. Choose the Letter trim for buyers in the US and the A4 trim everywhere else, and the page is already that size, so their printer does not scale it down and clip the edges. Both margins are 0.25 inches, which a home printer can reach.
- Can I sell what I make?
- Yes. The exported PDFs are yours to sell as downloads, print yourself, or publish on Amazon. The per-project unlock covers unlimited exports of that project.
- Can the same pack go on Amazon too?
- Yes, and it is the same project. Export it once with loose sheets on for the download, then export it again with the checkbox off to get the bound interior with the right gutter for its page count. You do not rebuild anything.
- Do you write the licence my buyers get?
- No, and that is worth knowing before you list. We give you the PDF. The terms you grant your buyers, personal use or commercial, single classroom or whole school, are yours to write and enforce. Marketplaces usually ask you to state them on the listing.
