## How to solve a missing vowels puzzle

Each line is a phrase with every vowel removed, shown as a blank. Read the consonants and fill the vowels back in. The phrases come from a curated, family-safe bank, with answers at the back.

### The method

1. Read the consonants aloud. Sounding out the consonant skeleton often reveals the word before you have placed a single vowel.
2. Use the word lengths. The blanks keep the spacing, so the number of letters and words is a strong clue to the phrase.
3. Start with short words. Little words like THE, AND and OF fall quickly and anchor the longer ones around them.
4. Check the answer page. The full phrase is printed at the back, so you can confirm the vowels you chose.
