## Exactly one answer, proved two ways

A solver searches every placement the LETTERS allow and every placement the row, column and diagonal sums allow, and a puzzle only ships if one arrangement survives both. That is also where the difficulty comes from, because the two checks come apart: on the easier grades the letters settle every box, and from the hard grade up they cannot.

## The arithmetic is load-bearing, not decoration

Most word-and-number puzzles print a magic square the letters have already decided. From the hard grade up these plant a box that genuinely fits two entries, and the measurement is in the build: the letters alone leave two arrangements open at hard and four at evil, and only the line sums close them. Swapping two numbers in a magic square always breaks a line, so the arithmetic can always decide what the letters cannot.

## Words a reader will recognise

Both halves of every pair are real words, a five-letter word in the box and a six-letter word in the list, drawn from the common half of our dictionary rather than the whole of it. A reader who cannot tell an obscure word from a misprint cannot tell a near-miss from a mistake, which is the work the puzzle is asking for.

## Every KDP trim, 300 DPI

Pick from KDP's 17 trim sizes, from 5.06 by 7.81 up to 8.27 by 11.69, with correct margins and gutter. The word list is body copy, so the studio only offers the grades your trim can really carry: sixteen of the seventeen sizes carry all five.

## Generate once, export forever

One project unlocks for $4.99. After that, re-export any trim, any time. No monthly subscription and nothing to cancel.

## How it works

1. Try a free puzzle. Use the free generator in your browser to make one anagram magic square and its answer, so you can see the output before you commit.
2. Choose your KDP trim. Pick a trim size first, because it decides which grades are available: the 6 by 6 grid needs a taller page. The interior is sized with the right margins and gutter for the page count so it passes KDP review.
3. Pick a difficulty curve. Choose how many puzzles you want at each grade your trim offers, from a 3 by 3 up to a 6 by 6, and the studio generates the whole graded book with a different saying on each page.
4. Unlock once, export any size. Unlock the project for $4.99, then export the print-ready interior and answers PDFs at any trim, as often as you like.

## Questions

**How much does it cost?**

A project unlocks for $4.99, paid once. After that you can export the interior and answers PDFs at any KDP trim, as many formats as you like, forever. There is no subscription.

**What do I get when I export?**

One print-ready 300 DPI interior PDF, with the answers at the back, sized for the KDP trim you choose. That interior is the single file you upload to KDP. You also get a separate answers PDF.

**Why do some trims offer fewer difficulties?**

Because the page holds a fixed count of boxes and a fixed count of entries, and the entries are body copy with a readable size under it. We measured every grade against every trim: sixteen of the seventeen sizes carry all five grades, and the 8.25 by 6 landscape carries the first three, because thirty-six entries on a page that short would have to be set under 7pt. The grid is never the problem, because a box word shrinks exactly as fast as the row count grows, so a narrow page is fine and a short one is not.

**Where does the hidden saying come from?**

A hand-reviewed bank of traditional sayings, banded by exact letter count, because one answer drops one letter: a 3 by 3 needs a saying of exactly nine letters and a 6 by 6 one of exactly thirty-six. The generator picks the saying first and the words second, which is the opposite order from how the puzzle reads. A book will not print the same saying twice in a row.

**How is the answer printed?**

As the same grid with every number written in, and the saying under the word list. A reader can check a row’s sum, or check the saying reads, without having to compare twenty-five words against twenty-five boxes.

**Do the puzzles repeat?**

No. Each page draws its own saying and its own set of words from the dictionary, so two books of the same grade are different puzzles. Words recur across a long book the way they do in any word puzzle, but no page repeats another page.

**Can I try it before I pay?**

Yes. The free anagram magic square generator makes a real 2-page puzzle in your browser with no sign-up. The unlock is only for a full multi-puzzle project you plan to publish.

**Can I sell the books I make?**

Yes. The exported interiors are yours to publish and sell on Amazon KDP or print yourself. The per-project unlock covers unlimited exports of that project.
