## How to use a guided journal page

The same prompt or form repeated on every page, such as a gratitude prompt, a daily checklist, a reading log or a habit grid, so the reader fills in a structure rather than a blank sheet.

### Step by step

1. Answer the prompt as it stands. Each page asks the same short question or offers the same form. Fill it in for today, and move to the next page tomorrow.
2. Keep the habit by keeping the page the same. The point of a guided page is repetition. Because every page is identical, the routine is easy to keep and easy to look back on.
3. Edit the prompt to fit your reader. In the journal maker you can change the prompt wording, so one layout becomes a gratitude journal, a fitness log or a prayer journal.

**Where the margin is**

A guided page can name a reader and a use in its title, which is what lets it sell for more than a plain notebook.

**Good for**

Gratitude and wellbeing journals, habit and mood trackers, reading and food logs.

## Making a whole journal?

This page makes one sheet. To publish a journal, the [journal maker](https://www.oncebooks.com/journal-maker) binds up to 400 pages of this ruling at any trim, with the gutter sized for the page count, as a print-ready 300 DPI interior and a wraparound cover. Set it up once, export any size.
